Latino Family Festival 2016

Every year, at Fenway Park, Boston- the Latino culture is celebrated by thousands and thousands of people.

I don’t think I can emphasize THOUSANDS enough.

The one-day features big name Hispanic recording artists (This year, Jerry Rivera was everyone’s favorite).

They also have many exhibitors, and lots of fun games for the families to enjoy with their kids.

Below is myself, totally amused by these two.

I’m a BIIIIG X-MEN fan.

I was basically in heaven. But how cool are their costume?!!! =O)

Ahhh! (great idea for a Halloween costume, too)

I was so honored to take over El Mundo Boston social media for the day!

Yesterday, I got to interview so many incredible people and fans.

Take some awesome pictures to share with you guys!

And most importantly, support the Latin community of Boston.

Below is the El Mundo Boston Crew that I got to work with all day =)

Left to right: Lady (from adventurself), Ana (from Anagoesfit), Elvis (from El Mundo Boston), MEE, Maritza (El Mundo Boston).

They are all amazing people who I loved meeting & working with.

And hope to collab with again in the near future.

Check them out!!

My favorite part about the event was the concert when Jerry Rivera & Jonathan sang together.

*inset heart eyes here*

GUYSS.. it was magical.

Jonathan & Jerry Rivera yesterday- killing it on stage.

The crowd was going LOCOOO!!!

Everyone was having a BLAST.

The picture below was taken towards the end of the event. =(

Ana and I were sad it was over but had such an amazing time.

Like, no joke.

(Ana (left), Wonder Woman, Batman, and I)

‘Til next time, Jerry and Latino Family Festival.

Thanks again for having me. =)

Lesson learned this week:

You will NEVER learn what you are CAPABLE of doing, until you go out there and DO IT.

Get out of your comfort zone and go after your dreams.

Time isn’t kind. Time does not wait until you’re ready.

This year I have done and accomplished things I never thought possible.

I have taken chances, and failed.

I have taken chances, and succeeded.

What have you done this year that was out of your comfort zone?

What steps have you taken to accomplish your goals/dreams?

It’s never too late to start.

3 Simple Reasons That Will Get You Motivated To Clean…

A messy room breeds procrastination.

Maybe it’s something about the million clothes and shoes, plus make up…

and more shoes?

Most of my girls have a hard getting to the right state of mind to clean,

The thought of it makes them want to put it off.

But I love a clean room, so I am always A.D.D. about it

Here are some things that help me “get it together & clean”

(makes the people come togetherrrrrrrr)

Sorry, Madonna came to mind when I wrote “music” haha!

BUUT, back to my point-

I can’t clean without music.

It fuels my soul 😉

So if music fuels YOUR soul, try it out next time you are feeling lazy

It may just get you moving, in more ways than one 🙂

I’d suggest creating a playlist, like you do for working out.

I don’t know about you guys but I can’t think in a dirty environment.

To have a clear mind, I need a clean room

You may not realize it, but so do you.

Your stress level drops when you look around & know all is clean.

So next time you’re stressing..

Look around.

Think about it..

And take action!

Another reason for cleaning is knowing you actually DO have clothes to wear

They are just hidden somewhere in your room.

Cleaning can actually make you feel more in control

Save you some money from impulsive shopping

you know..

due to having “nothing to wear” 😉

And save you time!

That’s right

You know where everything is now.

So ladies,

Next time you are feeling lazy..

Cleaning helps you

And who doesn’t want the above? 😉

Look Of The Week: ‘Dress’ To Impress!

Us women, want to be stylish and beautiful everyday.

It’s almost powerful to know you look great.

It brings you a sense of control.

A sense of power.

Like, you can conquer the World in those heels? LOL!

It sounds silly, but you know it’s true..

That’s just how we feel

And there ain’t no shame in that 😉

Making a statement at work, everyday, can be hard.

I always find that using bright/fun colors make any outfit go from BORING to STYLISH.

Above is my favorite outfit worn last week.

Dress (different options, as my dress is n/a)

Shoes (also n/a, but other options)

I hope you ladies feel beautiful everyday

Because you are.

With or without the clothes you wear.

But if it makes you feel better like it makes me..

Then, there’s no harm in looking fashionable everyday!

P.S. Watching Game of Thrones right now! =O)

I won’t say anything in case you haven’t watched. But holy sht!!

Have a wonderful week loves!

Are you Spending Time or Investing Time?

Did you ever stop to think about time?

I don’t care how rich you are, you can’t buy time just like you can’t buy happiness.

Time is everyone’s most valuable possession. And the one thing most think/care about the least.

I repeat, THE LEAST!!!

Last week, I went to an all day work meeting. And someone brought up the greatest quote.

“Are you spending time or investing time?”

If you are spending time, you are going through your every day life with zero plans, zero goals,

zero idea of what you would like to accomplish before bed.

You go through life like you are going to live forever. So why care today? “I’ll wake up tomorrow and

get a chance to do it all over again, and maybe tomorrow I will try doing “xyz,” or maybe not.”

That’s spending your time. A time you will never get back, a time wasted.

Investing your time is quite the opposite.

Investing your time is waking up with a plan. It’s knowing “what, how, and when.” And it is not easy.

It’s not easy to wake up everyday with a purpose. No matter how small that purpose may be.

But waking up with a purpose creates happiness. If you are going to work everyday without a goal,

you are probably going to work everyday miserable as fuck.

On the other hand, if you go to work everyday and know what you want to accomplish, your day will

turn out very different. You will most likely be extremely productive and feel like the day wasn’t a

complete waste.

Have you ever felt like your day was a complete waste? Hell, I know I have!

I’ve had days where I just didn’t give a damn. I didn’t want to be at work, I didn’t want to deal with

the same old, same old. And I felt so shitty by the end of it. I felt like I just lost a day of my life that

I will never get back. We are not aliens, we all have “those” days.

Don’t feel bad if you wasted a few days of your life before.

But look to utilize your time wisely, starting today.

Wake up with a plan, no matter how small. Ex. “Today, I will make an old lady smile and I will workout.”

It doesn’t matter what it is! As long as it’s a goal.

Start thinking about time as the most valuable possession you own. Because it is!

Tomorrow isn’t promised.

If you knew today was your last day to live, what would you have done differently?

*Above is what I’m reflecting on this week. Above is how I will think differently to not live an ordinary life*

Look of the week: Slaying off the shoulder tops

You know you’re a basic bitch when you own a pair of “off the shoulder tops.”

But let’s face it, we’re not sorry. Because we’re slaying. And we’re making it our own.

I see a lot of the “off the shoulder tops” with the preppy look, but zero attitude. And fashion to me, has to

come with attitude. It has to be tailored to your persona. Which is why I added this sick hat to give my outfit

the character it needed. 😉 It gave it the edge I was looking for to feel bad ass.

Because some days, you just want to feel bad ass.

This off the shoulder top is particularly different with the strap support.

I find I need the support due to being busty. To me it looks ten times better.

But that’s just my own opinion based on my body type.

Until, last year, I mentioned it to my boyfriend and as a gift for my birthday- he created this blog for me.

It took him hours & hours of his time to make it look the way it is, to my liking. And it was truly the

Shorts, Heels & All The Feels

Is it just me or is everyone fed up with Boston’s weather lately?

I mean, for real.

Its been raining every weekend, and when the sun decides to come out, it’s during the week.

Super lame, Boston. Let’s get past this cloudy/wet phase.

I think we are all ready for the sun and the sand. Can I get an amen?

(Punta Cana 2015-When I also had enough of our Spring)

Aside from the crappy weather though, this weekend was pretty awesome. 🙂

I started reading this book called, “The Elements of Style.” Ever heard? It’s an “oldie but goodie.”

It’s the basics of writing and common mistakes most people make with grammar, punctuation, and so on.

But don’t judge me yet. I’m still learning! LOL!

What I like about this book is it’s short and easy to understand.

Most of us like short and easy, right? At least when it comes to books 😉

This book is the original. Since this book was first written, there has been other editions.

Fun fact: This book was written by a college professor in 1919, for his students. Little did he know, huh?

That’s why I always say, go with your passion and the rest will come.

Someone else was dying to read my book.

His name is Max, he is Ryan’s moms kitty.

He’s the most curious cat, ever and super adorable.

He kept placing his head over the book to see what I was looking at. haha!

I wore this casual outfit on Saturday. It’s crazy how much an outfit can change by throwing in a pair of heels.

It’s night and day. Try it out 😉

P.S. Those heels are heavenly. Super comfortable, in style, and hot. What more could a girl want?

Another fun fact: I hate feet- including and not limited to mine.

However, heels make it pretty. Which probably explains my addiction with them.

Or at least, that’s what I’ll keep telling myself 😉

Love it? Click here.

     The bag is Michael Kors.

The shirt, I found a similar look here.

I also discovered, thanks to a friend. This place in Worcester (where I spent the weekend), called “The Compass Tavern”, and it’s so kick as* for brunch.

Above is the walk-up bar for you to make your own bloody mary!! How cute and awesome is that?!

The food was also to die for. Definitely check it out if you’re ever in the area. =)

Hope you enjoyed the look and this week’s recommendations!
